The excavation at the site of Concert Properties88 Scott, a 58-storey, Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects-designed condominium tower soon to rise from the corner of Wellington and Scott Streets, has grown significantly since we last checked in. Crews have excavated down roughly three storeys below grade, with the pit set to bottom out at 70 feet below street level, or another four storeys to go.

At the southwest corner of the site, a large temporary ramp of soil and dirt provides access to the site for trucks and heavy equipment. In the image below, we can see the site as viewed from Wellington Street, with the historic King Edward Hotel standing in the background.

Once the 525-unit development has been completed, residents of the building will have access to a selection of amenities, including social and reading lounges, a spectacular 46th/47th floor sky lounge, bar, caterers' kitchen and formal dining room, all seen below. They will also find more requisite condominium amenities we are accustomed to, including a 24 hour concierge, game room, roof deck, sauna, swimming pool, a gym as well as movie and party rooms.
