Toronto's condo construction boom means that we are becoming a city of views, and those vistas out our windows are getting more varied and interesting every year as our buildings race increasingly skyward. With that skyward race, many of us are living in a new kind of community, one that comes together in the increasingly elaborate amenity spaces in the towers. If the developer is smart, they're putting the amenities and the views together to create some truly special places for residents to enjoy.

YC Condos—on Yonge at College—is just such a development where the developer, Canderel, is making the best of the building's dramatic location and height to offer its purchasers amenity spaces with some of the most spectacular views in all of Toronto. They are doing that by putting some of them up high, way up high, 64 and 66 storeys in the air.

The obvious place to start our tour of this building is at the top. Where you would normally find a $5 million penthouse, at YC Condos you'll find a $5 million infinity-edge pool. Dubbed AQUA66 for its top floor address, every resident of YC will have a view south, east, and west from their poolside lounger or from within the gorgeous 60 foot-long pool itself. Outfitted by the renowned interior designers at Burdifilek, the spectacular 4400 square foot oasis in the sky will put the emphasis on unwinding, and drinking in the beauty of our twinkling lakeside city.

Just below the pool spa is LOUNGE64, a 3700 square foot suite of rooms appointed to maximize your relaxation time. Comfortable spots to socialize, take in the unmatched view, or curl up with a book by the fireplace is what most of this floor is about. There's also space to entertain here, over a game of billiards, or sitting down for a meal with friends. The dining room connects to a catering kitchen, allowing you to wow with your own cooking, or book in your favourite caterer for the event.

Of course, the building does have stand-out suites up here too. On the 59th through 63rd floors, YC's penthouse suites are aimed at pleasing sophisticated buyers. Ranging from 1,000 sq. ft. to 1,500 sq. ft.—and starting from just over $1 million to over $1.5million—approximately 10 ft. ceilings will underscore the lofty mid-city position here, while generous wraparound balconies will offer exceptional panoramic views.

The suites don't skimp on features. Engineered wood flooring is underfoot. A gas fireplace with a natural stone surround is the focus of the principal space. Gourmet kitchens will boast custom-designed built-in, extended kitchen cabinetry with contemporary panel doors, five contemporary built-in appliances, stainless steel undermount sink, double-edged quartz countertops, quartz backsplash, under cabinet lighting and a spacious kitchen island for entertaining.

Master ensuites will feature a contemporary vanity with mirror, quartz countertop with undermount sink, free standing deep soaker tub—a separate shower stall with frameless glass door as per plan—full height glass tiles in the shower enclosure, and natural stone tile flooring.
