Construction continues at Bazis Inc., Metropia and Plazacorp’s Emerald Park condos in North York’s busy Yonge and Sheppard intersection. When completed, this development will consist of two Rosario Varacalli-designed towers with a total of 564 units, five levels of underground parking, fitness and leisure amenities, retail, grocery, and office space.

Since we last reported on this project, construction has progressed well above the three storey podium and is currently on the 15th floor, as can be seen in these recent photos by Urban Toronto Forum member cruzin4u. According to the Bazis Blog, work is progressing at a rate of 1.1 floors per week and is expected to reach the 31st floor by Christmas. Installation of exterior cladding along with the distinctive green-tinted glass is expected to begin at the end of October with some interior work commencing at the same time. UrbanToronto will continue to provide updates on these towers as they rise towards their uniquely flared tops.
