Across the street from Toronto's largest park will sit the HighPark Condominums, named for the nearby landmark. This new condo from The Daniels Corporation will offer contemporary living in a prime location, literally steps away from High Park, while just a short walk to the Bloor Street Village neighborhood, and bracketed by subway stops to the east and west: location is the key here!
Besides the shopping streets nearby, the HighPark Condos—designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects—will provide retail on the ground floor facing Bloor, centered around a sheltered courtyard. While the retail mix is still being determined, Daniels is aiming for grocery as well as a restaurant, and there is room for more. Inside, Tomas Pearce Interior Design Consulting is handling the outfitting of the building's amenities, including this third floor party room. Contemporary and transitional pieces will be mix to create a comfortable and functional space. A pair of large double doors connect the third floor party room to the third floor terrace, complete with lush, native greenery. The patio will be perched above Bloor Street, overlooking the courtyard, both of which will be designed by Jackie VanderVelde of Land Art Design Landscape Architects. Complementing High Park's flora is being given top priority here.
Other amenities of the HighPark Condos will include a climbing wall (a rare find for a Toronto condo!), extensive bike storage and riding prep space, with more still to be revealed. Rising only 14 storeys, the building won't overwhelm, but it will still provide the sweeping views of High Park, Lake Ontario, and the Toronto skyline are unique to this development. Luckily for residents, these views aren't only exclusive to those living on the top floors: another landscaped terrace will be situated on the ninth floor, furnished with al fresco dining furniture and barbecues.
Being across from High Park, the location is undeniably fantastic. Residents can enjoy an active lifestyle with the on-site amenities, while the park's trails and 399 acres offer running, biking, leisure walks, and many more sports opportunities. All are easily possibly considering the stellar location.
The HighPark Condominiums are taking registrations from all who are interested, and you may choose to become a member in their Inner Circle to benefit from perks not available to the general public.
