Downtown is not the only neighbourhood whose parking lots are going out of fashion these days. The ever-growing urban node centred around Yonge and Eglinton has certainly seen its fair share of growth in the past few years, a lot of it due to the coming LRT line that will soon carry passengers, and hopefully cultural and economic growth, across Eglinton. The latest project about to rise in this neighbourhood is Minto30Roe, now reclaiming an at-grade parking lot to transform it into a 34-storey residential tower. Construction has just begun and below we feature a few photos from the site taken by Forum member Roundabout.
Minto30Roe is being built and developed, as you may have guessed, by Minto. It will bring 397 new residential units to the area. The tower is designed by Wallman Architects and is joining a wave of new residential buildings in the area including E Condos and The Madison which are reshaping this Midtown location. Those who purchase at 30Roe will enjoy the expected amenities like a 24-hour concierge and a party room, but they'll also have some nice additions like an outdoor courtyard with barbecues and a picnic area, a third-floor landscaped garden and a basketball court, plus a particularly tricked-out fitness centre.
Minto 30Roe is still in the earliest stages of construction and is scheduled to wrap everything up in the spring of 2015.
