It has been another busy month here at UrbanToronto, with lots of discussion going on in our Forum on some very high-profile development announcements. Needless to say, it's all kept us very busy ensuring you're up to date on all the activity! October saw some very big proposals, as well as some major projects nearing completion. The proposal has created a lot of excitement, concern and speculation, making it one of the most discussed development projects in UrbanToronto history!

The big story of the month was the Mirvish+Gehry Toronto proposal for three 85-storey towers at King and John. In fact, the story first broke on UrbanToronto and gained momentum from there. This project took the top spot in our News section and dataBase pages. It generated a tremendous amount of media and civic attention and, if approved, will be the tallest towers in the city. Not to be outdone, the Oxford Place proposal for several supertall skyscrapers, redevelopment of the Convention Centre and a possible casino also generated a lot of attention.
