Located on the westernmost corner of Lake Ontario is the city of Burlington, a former agricultural village that has quickly become a major player in the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The city is equidistant from Toronto and Niagara, and offers much in the way of recreational space with easy access to both the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario. As neighbouring Oakville continues to intensify, homebuyers are beginning to look to areas such as Burlington, where developers have begun to plan increasingly more urban-style communities. One such development is the Mod’rn, a joint venture between ADI Development Group and Fortress Real Developments

The Mod’rn is a low-rise condominium with a total of 78 units. Toronto-based architectural firm Icon designed the four-storey structure, wrapping the modern façade in dark brick, warm wood and natural stone. Residents will have access to a communal rooftop with lake views, as well as an indoor dining and lounge space on the main floor.

The development is meant to appeal to a variety of consumers, from young professionals buying their first homes to empty nesters. The Mod'rn currently has an expected occupancy date of June 2014. For complete project information, check out the dataBase listing below.
