We'll wrap up this week with one more image from 416, possibly one of the better skyline photos we've seen that wonderfully captures our growing core against a vivid sky.
The image is taken from what looks to be Tommy Thompson Park, located on the Leslie Street Spit. The Toronto Islands can be seen partially blocking the view in front. Tommy Thompson Park is one of the larger ones we have in Toronto, but due to its location it tends to be overlooked. The park will be redeveloped and made more accessible as part of WaterfrontTO's Lake Ontario Park, designed by Field Operations with Schollen & Company. According to the master plan found here, Lake Ontario Park will serve to connect the Eastern Beaches to the Don Greenway, a green corridor that will run along Toronto's waterfront.
