Today's Photo Of The Day, taken by UrbanToronto Forum member drum118, updates us on the current construction status of South Beach Condos + Lofts. Occupancy has begun at tower one while tower two is topping off. The two 27-storey towers are actually turning out quite nicely. Our one issue with the project is the retail fronting Park Lawn Road seen here in the forefront.

While we applaud the look of the coming retail we really wish the upper levels actually contained office or residential space as you generally find in an urban context. Instead here we find nothing behind the second floor facades other than empty space. A missed opportunity. Here's what the retail is supposed to look when completed.
