Taken from St. James Park, today's Photo Of The Day shows Spire Condos as it rises above the new addition to the St. James Cathedral parish house.

The addition, which will be completed later this year, was designed by architectsAlliance. There is a strong history between Spire and the parish house. The original plan was to replace the entire parish house with a condo tower that would contain a new parish house. Controversy resulted in the Church selling the land where Spire is located today to Context Development in return for money to rebuild the existing parish along with the new addition. In return Context received additional density to build Spire.
