One of our biggest pet peeves at UrbanToronto is when the underside of balconies are left looking unfinished, that is to say unpainted concrete, which we think usually cheapens a project. Today's Photo Of The Day, taken by Forum member urbandreamer, shows a project where they have gone far beyond mere paint, and we think it is fabulous.

Here's a look at the balconies at Freed Developments' new 500 Wellington West condos. Freed went with a wood panelled ceiling, which is a pretty stunning look. Now we know that this is meant to be a luxury building, so the amount spent building it is more than at most projects, but it would be great to see other developers rise to the occasion like Freed did here. Well done!

The 10-storey condo was designed by Core Architects with interiors by Burdifilek and landscaping by gh3.
