It's been a while since we've had a close look at Westlake from Vancouver-based developer Onni Group of Companies. The huge project at Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West in Etobicoke's Humber Bay Shores area is now well into excavation, and by this time next year we hope to see the three towers and associated podiums back at ground level. Coming in at 39, 46, and 48 storeys, this Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects-designed complex will be a significant addition to the burgeoning area and a landmark feature of this new western Toronto skyline.
We have, to coincide with today's Project of the Day feature, some new renderings focused on Westlake 3, outside and in, never seen before in HighDef on the web. The shots give us a better idea of how the whole project will look in fact, with more detail on the tower than on the original rendering, and much more detail at ground level. (We know there are a lot of people waiting for the new retail village at the base of the complex!)
Along with the several other new shots you will find in the dataBase listing, UrbanToronto's Projects & Construction Forum thread for Westlake features some recent shots of the construction including these:
Construction at Westlake will only get more interesting from here. UrbanToronto will keep you up to date as these buildings come together.
