The last few months have seen some significant changes to Urban Toronto. We upgraded our software to accommodate a brand new home page and we redesigned the site — these changes are now complete.

As you may have noticed, the new home page highlights original content now produced by Urban Toronto, a goal we are achieving with the hiring of Craig White as the new Managing Editor. He will work with me to manage all the new content that we'll be producing. This new editorial plan launched last week with our exclusive photo tour of the new Ritz-Carlton, along with our coverage of the Pears On The Avenue condo launch.

Our plan is to produce 5 to 10 features per day. And, as you saw with the above features, we are looking to produce content that's interesting and exclusive. We want to be THE source of information for Toronto construction, real estate, architecture and more. To those of you in the industry, we are putting out an open call: We want to work with you! Whether it's giving us access to your projects (as we had with the Ritz), or inviting us to your opening (with Pears), or just sending us press releases, we want to work together. The new design and editorial are accompanied by new advertising opportunities. The site can now accommodate all three major ad sizes (leaderboard, big box, and skyscraper) and a sophisticated ad engine allows for date targeting, geo-targeting and much more.
