Elad Canada, developers of Emerald City at Don Mills and Sheppard, are preparing to launch a third tower at the huge project across from Fairview Mall. Dream Tower, a 25-storey building designed by WZMH Architects, will complete the northwest corner of the project, with direct links to Don Mills subway station.
Dream Tower will be marked by its modern curves which will be set off by the lush landscaping surrounding its amenities pavilion. The pavilion will offer an extensive suite of options for entertainment and relaxation, including a fitness centre with yoga studio, a pool and hot tub, a garden area with barbecues, a party room, a dining room with catering kitchen, a lounge with billiards table, a movie theatre, and a generous terrace, seen below at dusk.
Emerald City represents renewal and urban intensification for an area which was formerly laid out with the now discredited Tower-in-a-park planning practice. While still emphasizing its green surroundings, Emerlad City residents will benefit from a complex that embraces the liveliness that density brings, and making best use of land adjoining the subway system. The across-the-street proximity of Fairview Mall with its department stores, myriad shops, eating options, and mutliscreen cinema also makes for major convenience, and quite the enticement.
