The office space boom just keeps coming as Toronto's core continues to boom. Today we have word that Oxford Properties is now starting the marketing for a new tower at 100 Adelaide West. Also known as Richmond Adelaide III as it it part of the Richmond Adelaide complex.

Here we see the southwest corner of the 28 storey tower.

And the southeast corner. The design is by New York City based Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects who also designed the new Ritz Carlton. As we can see it integrates the historic Concourse Building facade into the base.

Where it fits in the core.

A couple of shots of the base.

The lobby of the proposed tower.

A breakdown of the floor plates.

Oxford is currently shopping for tenants for the 615,000 sq ft building with naming rights available. The UrbanToronto Tower anyone?

The one area of controversy is the plans for the historic Concourse Building seen below.

The facade will remain while the interior and structure of the building will be gutted. Preservation of the building has been the subject of significant debate in the past within the UrbanToronto forum: some want the entire building retained, while others believe it is enough to only save the historically significant facade. What do you think?
