Bayview Village is quickly but quietly being redeveloped into a dense, mixed-use community hub by many developers, and our UrbanToronto super sleuths have dug up two future developments for the lively neighbourhood at Bayview and Sheppard. First is Rockport's TwentyOne Clairtrell, now under construction:

TwentyOne Clairtrell is a 7-storey development designed by Kirkor Architects with 128 units of all types. It is located just northeast of Bayview/Sheppard, at Clairtrell Road and Spring Garden Avenue.

Second is the currently un-named 500 Sheppard East, a proposal that calls for a 29 storey residential tower with 220 units, and a connecting 5-storey commercial building on the western portion of the same property, underground parking included.

Early renderings for this project prove appealing:

Mallpaks Developments, currently housed on-site in the 3-storey 1980's office building shown above, is headlining the development.

500 Sheppard East is particularly interesting, as it is located directly across the street from the one of our favourite architectural marvels, Daniels' Arc Condos (shown below). Bayview Village Shopping Centre is also located across there, with Bayview Subway Station directly below.

We look forward to seeing these develop over time. You can keep up-to-date with these project in our forums or in our dataBase, links below.
