Last week we introduced you 36Hazelton, the new luxury boutique condominium residence under development by The Alterra Group and Zinc Developments in Toronto's posh Yorkville neighbourhood. We concentrated on the generous cascading terraces of the Quadrangle Architects-designed 7-storey building. This week, it's time to look at the gorgeous suites.
Interiors in this beautiful 18-suite building are by Alex Chapman and Nadine Burdak of the Chapman Design Group. The emphasis here is on rich textures, harmonious composition, and a quiet confidence.
Airy suites feature extensive glazing, allowing views to the landscaped terraces and beyond.
The design team, including Ronald Holbrook and Associates Landscape Architects, enhance the terraces with stylish, soothing, and functional spaces. A water feature graces the wall behind the sliding glass door.
A fireplace divides the living room from the den in suite 5b.
5b's huge terrace provides space to unwind, to eat, to entertain.
Suite 6a, a full half floor with a vast, open living area, has views east, west, north.
Suite 6b shares the floor with 6a, and features terraces or balconies on 3 sides.
Suites like these, unfortunately, are not in everyone's price range. Units in the building start at $1.6 million, and rise to over $10 million for the 7th floor penthouse, with 4,693 square feet of indoor space and 2,881 of outdoor terraces.
