And so ends an era as Toronto's record row disappears into history. The centre of Toronto's music retail for decades is being torn down as Ryerson University finally gets a Yonge Street address for its new Ryerson Student Learning Centre. While retailers such as A&A and Sam The Record Man long disappeared the buildings still left us with warm memories. Now that is all gone. I know this dates us but the wall of vinyl in our apartment will have to do.

The steel frame in the current picture must have held the massive A&A sign as seen here in the 1970's or early 1980's.
