Westport Beach Development Corporation is bringing renewal to southwest Etobicoke with Aquaview Condos, a 16-storey condominium designed by Kirkor Architects. The building sits on the south side of Lake Shore Boulevard between 41st and 42nd Streets, and across from Long Branch GO station, making a commute to downtown quite quick and easy. The building's design includes ground level retail units facing Lake Shore, which promises to bring pedestrian life to this last stretch of Lake Shore before it crosses through parkland into Mississauga.

While the building has topped off and much of the cladding and glazing are complete, there are no signs yet of the tacked-on arches shown in the render above. UrbanToronto would like those arches to be replaced by something simpler - something that would continue the right-angle aesthetic from the rest of the building - but is not holding its breath.

Nearby, the Etobicoke Creek brings natural beauty with a strip of lush parkland just west of the building, running to Lake Ontario and the Waterfront Trail.
