The new Four Seasons continues to rise at the northeast corner of Bay and Yorkville Avenue. Developed by Menkes and Lifetime Developments, this aA/Page + Steele designed hotel/condo consists of a 55 and a 25 storey tower. Here a photo showing the current status.

But let's take a look back briefly to November 2008 when the base of this complex was poured in a marathon 12 hour session. The massive base, necessary due to soil conditions, needed 500 truckloads of concrete. From MenkesVideos:

November 29, 2008. A good day for everybody. Witness a rough slab foundation pour - a 4100 meter concrete pour. This is the largest concrete pour in North America, using an ultra-fluid concrete. In a matter of twelve hours, with nearly 500 truckloads of concrete poured, everything went smoothly for this major pour.
