Youtube question - how to filter out still compilations and language

Countless times I've searched for a vid on youtube only to have it be just a series of still photos with lame background music. Is there a way to filter youtube results to show only true videos as opposed to someone's slide show? And language, how do I show only English videos in my results? I watch a lot of product reviews, and can't see an easy way to catch only the English vids?
