I have the day off tomorrow, and I'd like to capture some winter shots of our city. I haven't really planned locations; the idea just came to me, spontaneously. Any ideas you'd like to share for some interesting 'winter in the city' shots? I'll be travelling via TTC, and I don't want to stray toooo far from the Yonge line, in the event that the weather turns on me. I'm not a very experienced photographer, and I don't have a fancy camera (canon powershot sx210 IS), or a tripod -- so keep that in mind when sharing your ideas.

I heard that the light is supposed to be relatively good tomorrow, thankfully (it has been so grey lately). If by chance, you read this message after tomorrow, please go ahead and share your suggestions anyway. I'll probably do this again before the winter is over, if time permits.

Any ideas?

TTC streetcars and fresh snow. I like the combination of red and white. You can also "pan" the streetcar - to give the picture a sense of motion.

Dogs in booties and sweaters - ask the owners first. :)

Closeups of icicles with sunlight streaming through them.

Don't forget to have the sun behind you. :)
