Actually the real reason is: they don't have to even try hard and win anything and still get showed by millions of "adoring" fans.

The article lost cred with me when it mentioned lots of cheap concert tickets. Toronto has one of the highest concert ticket prices in North America and they are rarely (if ever) in plentiful supply.
