Certain stretches seem to be doing a good job of naturalizing themselves.

I wonder if the local film industry would want to keep them as-is to serve as a cheap stand-in for the L.A. River...?

Thanks for that wonderful tour.
Those hidden creeks are so near and yet undiscovered by most.

Absolutely phenomenal photo essay EVC. Thank you.

I hope you are sharing these with the obvious NGOs/community groups who would benefit from such an archive.

I can see a thousand opportunities and have a thousand ideas... but no-one listens to me so I'll just imagine (privately) ;-)

Thanks again. Great work. Hope this thread gets some eyeballs.

Thanks guys! That makes all the mosquito (and who knows what else) bites worth it ;)

I hope to finish all the various branches of the Highland Creek over the next month or so...

Thanks!
And in case you, or anyone, ever wants to paddle an actual canoe down any of these creeks and floodways
all the pics are geo-pegged on Google Maps via Panoramio, so you can see exactly where to go:

Disclaimer..
I would not advise anyone to try and paddle an actual canoe down any of these creeks and floodways, lol.
