The first shot of RoCP is definitely the best one I have seen yet. It actually shows how close to the renderings the building got. It is too bad they didn't get a proper colour match between the podium and the tower (why very light cyan?) and didn't use reflective windows at the top as the rendering suggested.

I was just in Toronto for the weekend...it occurred to me that on one level it will be a shame to have the carpark at Yonge + Gerrard filled in, as the view of ROCP from that bit of Yonge is absolutely spectacular, and will only be more so with the addition of Lumiere. An extension of the park instead would be lovely.

Hazelton does look like a bit of a bore. But it fits in well in Yorkville.

When its finished, it will look like it has always been there.

Great update. ROCP looks really impressive in that photo, and the Met is really adding a big-city presence to College- Yonge. I think the hazleton is one of the more attractive projects and is very suitable for the area.

I like the black window units of the 1 St. Thomas building. I think the proliferation of toothpaste coloured windows and paneling that define this current building boom will become dated in a "what were they thinking?" kind of way in the future.

I'd have to agree. It actually reminds me of Brampton's new Rose Theatre, but with a condo on top.
