TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

... the fare gates are way easier to bring a dog through. Quite happy it didnt close on the dog or I eithier, the timing was right.

I went through the Dupont gates today. Pretty nice.

Hoardings have gone up at Lawrence West now.

Must be fun trying to crowd through that small opening. It'l get even more interesting when busier stations like Dundas or Queens Park have their turn with the construction.
That barely seems safe with that gap. What happens in an emergency?

Keele Station at least has emergency exits through the bus bays -- this is how customers are supposed to exit the station during the construction phase. Something better will definitely be required for the downtown stations when they're due for the new fare gates.

At least at Warden, they seem to be taking a phased approach and doing half of the new fare gate installation now, and then the other half once the first one is done.

Of course, they still ripped out all of the old ones in one fell swoop....
