TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

4413 has been off loaded and tracking in the correct location now.

Only 3 days to get to Smith Falls after being loaded onto the flat.

The tracking data on 4425 is from January 15. But the 4413 data is fresh. Parked at Hillside - at least whatever is emitting that signal is there.

They are a 3 section in place of our current 5 due to larger radius and why the door setup. I rode them in Europe back in 2012 where the center section was only low floor. Most systems use this style, but you can find all high floor to 100% low floor on a number of setup in the same system. Lot has to due to cost and were part of Russia until the 80's.
 
4412 has made a late day re-enter service today on 510. 4412 was return Jan 19.

4416 return Feb 26 with 4439 taking 4416 on the flat car.

We are due for a number of returning cars this month.

4427 Return February 04/2021 and could return to service around March 26
4416 could return to service around April 18
4413 could return to service around April 8

4416 has being doing a number of days and night testing as an in service car and at Leslie this week.

Another car is to be ship to QC as the flat is at Hilcrest now and most likely loaded Monday.

This is getting to close to 7% of the fleet off site and cutting into the spare ratio. With buses replacing part of the system for the next year or 2 this percent off site will have little impact on service.

We may see 4419 next week and possible 4421 by month end.

There was also talk by the city of desperately needing the additional order of 60 cars last year, though in the usual glacial fashion I haven't seen mention of it since.
 
4402 was loaded onto the flat today at Hillcrest. That make 13 cars off site at this time.

I would expect we will see some changes in the next batch of cars based on what TTC has learn so far. Some will be out of sight. You may see USB plugs.

I can't wait till I heard the news that the next batch is delayed cause BBD is having trouble having LCD screen communicating with VISION and USB plugs being overvoltage!
