Any idea why the short-turn location is only announced on the outside of the car, instead of the inside? These are programmed into the system, so any destination that's not a regularly scheduled terminus (construction service notwithstanding), it would pop up as a short turn.
More than once, I've jumped on a streetcar that I've had to run to, and not had a time to read all the signage. And then seen/heard the short-turn announcements. And had to go stand near a door, so I could hear the outside-only announcement on where the turn was.
Pretty predictable on Spadina perhaps ... but on 504 anything is possible ... particularly eastbound approaching Broadview, where you have to guess if it's going to go north to Dundas, or east to Leslie (or even north at Parliament ... or south to Distillery these days).
