It was apparently an Esso station before it was a strip mall. This was like 40+ years ago tho. I can't verify this at all...just repeating what they said as they grew up in the area

The hole looked bigger to me. It seemed to be expanded closer to the entrance and there looked to be some more of those bins on site too. That said, the lack of construction activity is still pretty disheartening. I still think we are looking at a fall 2017 completion date

After a thousand delays, the building envelopes are complete (or largely so) and the final touches are being applied to the exterior structures.

The renderings for this project looked promising, but this is turning out to look dreadful. This is absolutely unacceptable. If I were a purchaser, I'd be livid and would consider litigation for such blatant, false advertising.

The models made this look far more cheerful then it currently is. I guess they went full on skint with the materials...
 
It looks like they started off with an interesting architectural concept, which was a sort of rustic contemporary look. But the materials look like big-box retail cladding, and the way it meets the street is kind of clumsy from an aesthetic standpoint.
