The Mag Lev was supposed to be free to the zoo where it would serve as a prototype for the proponent to get sales elsewhere.
In fairness to the zoo, the fact it's not there probably says more about the proponent than the zoo.
The Zoo actually approved the project; subject to TRCA approvals and the proponent securing funding........that was in 2018.
FWIW, the proponent was a company called Magnovate. They're still around and their website still lists this project as 'under development'.

Good Lord..........the Conservation campus/Welcome Area project, which had already ballooned to 41M.......has exploded upwards again to 64M.

If there's any consolation, its that the project is listed to break ground this year, as funded, in the proposed budget with completion in 2026.

The new thing here is simply the budget; excepting that i missed the original story, of course!

...maybe the contractors didn't want to get accidentally eaten by lions or something, so they doubled their quotes.

They aren’t hanging about here.
Was at the zoo today and the main gates - guest services building on the right as you go in and an ancillary building on the left all demo’d.
Will post pics when I get heat back in my body.
