I spoke with someone from the construction team and it sounds like the project is on track if not slightly ahead of schedule! That's a first for condos... Also, the top floor gym and lounge is actually the 46th floor. That's because the ground floor is technically the 2nd floor due to the orientation of the building along a slope toward the ravine.

The project is on time. I just got a letter from the builder yesterday stating that my tentative occupancy date is May 28, 2018 and my unit is on the 35th floor.

Nice! I like the way this sounds so far.

No mention of schools so far though... I wonder if they are talking with the TDSB...
 
Still think South Beach is the best project in that area.
Really? Why?

Having looked at a unit there before buying in another development in the area, that seems a less than obvious conclusion. Noise from the train tracks and the Gardiner, distance from the lake and the parklands, farther from the shopping at the Westlake development etc. I don't regret not being in Westlake but it would score higher than South Beach on my own card.

Agree! There's nothing special about Southbeach. Aside from the noise coming from Gardiner and train tracks, it does not have a decent view of the lake due to the taller buildings which are more closer to the lake. It doesn't even have a decent retail shop. Westlake has Metro, major banks, Shopper's and LCBO. Southbeach has a crappy nail spa LMAO. So to say that Southbeach is the best project in the area is a big joke, this is clearly coming from someone who has no knowledge about what factors to consider in buying a condo.
 
Much of the lake is now hidden from South Beach, but it has great amenities, and Avenue is a pretty nice bistro. You can always walk between South Beach and Westlake in a couple of minutes, so who cares which one Metro is at, it's all close.

what amenities does SouthBeach has that makes it superior from the rest of the condos in the area? What a big joke!
 
Earlier today; topped off, things starting to be tidied up around the ground level, the mid-block driveway to Key West starting to come together, and work on the two-storey commercial building following slowly. Word is they want a "premier-casual" restaurant for it.

It’s interesting to see the ramp has a mini island presumably for access control. The first 3 Westlake buildings didn’t have that. I wonder how that will work with the commercial parking?
