The 2nd tower is 19 floors plus mechanical and is call the Region of Peel Tower. That an odd name for a tower since the Region of Peel offices is in Brampton, unless they are planning on having offices in Mississauga. That would even be more weir, since Mississauga wants out of Peel for over a decade.

Not your standard cookie cutter tower and better use of colours on it than across the street buildings.

Over 100 photos up on site for this shoot and taken from different location and time.

This is another project where 3 levels of parking above grade between the the towers and on the north side behind the condos on the south side. The north side isn't nothing to write home about as it mostly block from view be the retirement complex north of it. You can see it only if you walk in to the court yard area. You can see some of the towers from the north at this time, until the other towers get built this decade.

Is it not referred to as Region of Peel tower because it is meant for affordable housing and perhaps subsidized by the region?

IIRC, the City of Mississauga purchased the shorter tower from Daniels in order to provide affordable housing to those on Region of Peel social housing waitlist.

That explains the lack of balconies on the shorter tower!

This complex is weird, but I like it. Definitely refreshing from what is normally built in this area, even if the mauve colour selection is a bit strange.

If you feel like depressing yourself even further after looking at this mess, go on ArchDaily and look at the engaging, thrifty yet carefully-considered architecture of social housing in France and Spain. That's how you do engaging low-cost housing, or good housing design, period.
