it would be cool if there‘s some very subtle animation or motion to the backlit panels on the facade. Like having the rectangles fade slowly at different rates.
also, having the elevator cab done in a bold colour so a coloured glow would travel up and down within that frosted or fritter glass shaft.
 
It’s nice that they’re renovating the interior and the Bloor St frontage, but this is a picture of the actual hotel (where the rooms are), tucked away on Asquith St behind Bloor. None of the renderings shows a reclad / any kind of renovation to the building, probably one of the ugliest brutalist structures in Toronto. Considering what other W Hotels look like around the world, this is an embarrassment.

I really disagree. I find this building beautiful and much better composed than a lot of new stuff we see. Not everyone’s taste but it’s coherent and has a style.
