As a St. Mike's grad, kinda sad to see this. I used to play soccer on that field all the time. A bit ambivalent about the idea of skyscrapers hemming the university in more and more, even if the visual effect is spectacular. Will hurt the hermetic neighborhood vibe that Marshall McLuhan Way creates.

I get it, I really do. I'm "kinda sad" too.
 
Agreed if the digging was taking place in some farmers field. There is shoring to consider here. And lugging the material away takes time.
 
I won't let these snails off the hook that easily... Hullmark (a site of similar size and even more complexity) started at the same time and yet they have cranes in place and are forming multiple levels by now.
