Oh these look good! Rather like those Richmond (St) Town Manors just east of Strachan that I discovered earlier this year!

http://www.trinitytowns.com/

Are they knocking down the school or building these on the school parking lot? The school would make an excellent loft conversion imo.

Also, it's not exactly that close to the park, is it?

Thread is somewhere else, can't find it so merge if you find thanks.

Based on the briefest of glances, they do look good...and you're right, it's not even within viewing distance of the park so that's bit disingenuous of them - although I suppose no more so than the "upper beaches" used to be :) At least it is in the TB area.

It's actually about a block west of the park. The park begins on Bellwoods Avenue and Dundas Street West, and the building site is located on Claremont St and slightly north of Dundas.

I don't believe they're knocking down the school. I heard from my parents who live in the area that there will be about 20 units, 10 on Manning and 10 on Claremont.

I went on the website yesterday and the homes have a very chic, contemporary look. Can't wait to see what it'll look like upon completion! Hopefully it'll attract more young professionals to the developing area.

Nice.

The site plan that I saw from the developpers was for about 45 townhomes, with over 20 on each street in place of the school. So it's not a small development like townhomes on Richmond, but rather quite a big one that could change the neighbourhood significantly. I would have hoped the developer could retrofit the school ala Kensington Market Lofts.

Very sharp looking townhouses, I'm impressed. One complaint though. New townhouses, whether they're modern style or fake Victorian, almost always seem to lack a decent front porch.

parking-yuck.
