Just saw a Facebook post from a real estate agent looking to put a daycare in the Sherbourne/Esplanade corner.

Edit to add: He also said "we have taken note of the neighbourhood's interest and preference in tenants for the other retail spaces that we have for lease. We are doing our best to find local, independent, interesting retailers for all of the space, working hard against the realities of the current retail market."

Yes, the St Lawrence Neighbourhood Association always tries to get developers to think VERY carefully about the retail and lease carefully. Unfortunately, we still end up with small spaces or awkwardly shaped spaces that are not 'retail friendly' and we get the nail salons, hair salons and, now, the pot shops.
