There have been ten 'excavators' at the site for a number of weeks now. Several - generally two or three - have the drill bits attached to break up the rock. The majority have the standard scoops attached. During the prime working hours there never seem to be more than three excavators loading dump trucks - before, when the excavation was in its earlier stages, there were sometimes four loading concurrently. There has also been a lot of excavator activity just moving the piles of rock around, especially after 3 PM to when the site shuts down for the evening. Never seen anything like this in an urban environment.
 
The Minto Westside excavation was impressive - they had a gigantic gravel sifter on site so that the soil could be refined for sale before even leaving the site. I thought that excavation was impressive when that happened - this is about 10x the size.
