Hi folks, just out of curiosity, why did they leave a gap there?

That is a platform extending from the edge of the floor, for the tower crane to be able to drop construction materials for a floor which already has other floors formed above it.

Here is a view of the Spadina side, with three other platforms protruding from the edge of the building

Well that's new. I get wanting to building The Well branding in the neighbourhood but this is usually done with posters on the hoarding, not adding the final signage when the building is still under construction and in fact far from completion.
I suppose in most cases the largest tenant usually has their branding at the top of the building (which comes last) but in this case the overall project has had an official name for quite a while and it's a good chance to get said namesake out there in a higher quality than most.
