The Spadina entrance lost a bit of interest - but it seems some of the delicacy of the canopy came back in the form of triangular (?) glazing units.

They got rid of the "W" bracing easter egg. It's still a fine design, but I loved that little touch.

Stunning! HP have set the bar awfully high on these podia -- let's hope aA/Wallman can meet this standard up top.

On a related note, is this Toronto's first example of a project where individual buildings are being split up and designed by different architectural firms?

BDP deserve a lot of the credit for the podium to be honest.

E is a podium with 2 floors of retail - with a restaurant on the 2nd floor, 4 floors of office space and a residential tower with 32 levels

This just goes to show that it is possible to design something that feels like it draws from the past without being kitschy or fake. This is the kind of thing I want to see more of in Toronto. Can't wait to see it built!

Can anyone remember a similar time in the city's recent history in which so many game-changing, epic developments started development at the same time, not to mention additional bar raising proposals like Sidewalk and Gehry GG. I think you have to go way back to the 60s and the time of NCH-NPS, and Mies' TD Centre forever raising the profile of what was then Canada's 2nd city.

Don't like small pictures that don't zoom in or massive PDFs that are 'fit to window' at 17%, so I decided to take the pictures out of the PDF.
