The Greek Chorus predicting absolute failure for the past few years has gone strangely silent recently. Wonder why?

Don’t wake them up!
- Let’s see if it makes it to grade level.
- Let’s see if he gets the podium built.
- The podium was easy and I doubt if has the resources to build the tower.
- The hotel levels got built because it was someone else’s money but he has not sold many condo units so it will stop soon.
- He managed to build this tower but he lost all his money and he will never build another tower again.

Hilarious !!! Thx.

When you have magnificent projects like CIBC Square (which if you can believe it started at the exact same time)........than this is really a non event until there is some reason for excitement. Taking 2 years to go down 4 levels and pour the first parking level isn't exactly a booming success........by any reasonable calculation this is a year behind schedule....no need for doing cartwheels.

dude CIBC is an office tower, Hines has to complete it within the given date or face lawsuits. The One is a Res.... when in Toronto a Residential building was completed on time?

PS. look at the size of the site of CIBC and compare it with The one, u can barely fit a crane in there. its alot complicated to work on a tiny site. its very simple :)

And on a wide open, unrestricted site, building a steel frame structure, working flat out 6 (7?) days a week. Makes a big difference.

Today’s update.

Oranges and potatoes - both foods. The One and CIBC Square - both buildings. But not the same - like oranges and potatoes. If you cannot see the differences between these two buildings - sorry cannot help you.

They're regularly completed on time/budget. Catch is, the date the buyer gets is provided by sales/marketing, not the technical side; some adjustments are made to help coax sales along.

Yea the difference is one is competent and the others isn't. CIBC also happens to be 3x the scope and complexity. I hope I helped you.
