How will it have a Michelin star restaurant if Michelin doesn't review in Canada?

Mizrahi was misquoted. He didn't say the new restaurant has a Michelin star. He said that it has a Micheline star. The Quebec actress, Micheline Lanctôt, routinely reviews unopened and unbuilt restaurants and gives them stars based on the chutzpah of the developer. It's quite the honour.

It's just like when hotels were marketing their places as 6- or 7-star when those kind of ratings didn't even exist.
Marketing is always stretching the truth and all about hype.
There is a TV commercial currently airing for a mid-grade cruise line that boasts Michelin-star cuisine, but in the fine print it's actually the menu was designed/conceived by a Michelin-star chef, but never cooked by one (the name of the chef was never disclosed).
