a little ot ... but it'll be nice when CIBC Square blocks out TD and they are the ones forced looking at CIBC to try and get a view of the lake ....

Once upon a time, the ROYAL YORK hotel was a constant feature of our sky line from the island.
Seems like everyone forgot about it.

(I have to comment on the above Flickr photo - this seems altered to me, for several reasons. Mainly the reflections. That lagoon water is pretty much like glass yet the city light beams streak too perfectly in those still waters. And wouldn't there be some indication of the CN Tower pod? Even the streaks don't line up in perfect straight lines from their sources. Plus why would the prominent green and red lights in the far right be so visible underneath the darkened foliage - the angle of reflection seems wrong as their reflections begin too close to the shoreline. And that left tree right above the reflecting pool should be more of a reflection of the tree, not streaked like everything else. This must be an application that streaks images....it seems to be from a point source, as the vertical streaks on the right slant a bit to the right and those on the left slope slightly left. Rant out! All that being said, it's still a pretty, if altered, image).

You'd be surprised how heavily altered a lot of the shots on Flickr, instagram, and even here can be. I posted this in another thread and nobody called me out despite the obvious alteration: https://flic.kr/p/21CNZTi
