Hamilton TD Coliseum Renovations | ?m | 4s | OVG | BBB

That new digital billboard is very bright. I was down there a couple months ago in the middle of a every sunny day and you could see the content perfectly at any angle.

Heard that Rush is getting together for a new tour. They've announced a few dates already (including 2 shows in Toronto), and even though it would be very weird without Peart... and while I have no interest - it would be cool if they did a show here. There definitely would be a lot of interest - as it's been 10 years since they've performed. And it would be a nice tie-in with Peart as he was born in the Hammer.

Well act surprised!

Rush is just doing a mini-tour this time around, so I am guessing that the two Toronto shows will suffice. And the Peart tie-in to Hamilton would make for a cool story in a very minor way, but really is too weak a connection to have any real symbolism.

"Big" in the advertised "Big announcement" is really doing some heavy lifting here.

Not counting the Toronto Rock, I'm seeing 19 events booked so far... and we still have 45 days left until it opens.
That's a solid start.

Hopefully we'll see more bigger name draws announced.

I don't know if this is considered big or not, but there are rumours that a PWHL game will be played in Hamilton as part of the Takeover Tour.

Yup, Hamilton is rumoured to be part of a slate of locations including Calgary, Edmonton, Denver, and Halifax. This should be considered big since the Takeover Tour is a market testing opportunity. I would expect them to focus more on Canadian markets this time around since attendance in the US locations earlier this year was significantly below that of the Canadian locations.

Narrator: Rush did add not one, but two more shows... in Toronto.

Talk about a missed opportunity to get at least one of those shows for Hamilton.
There'll be plenty of people in the Hamilton, St. Catharines, Niagara and even Buffalo area who would like to go, but want to avoid the extra distance and traffic of a show in Toronto.

Maybe... maybe... if the Toronto shows get sold out quick enough, they could add a Hamilton date?
