Does anyone have any information about the planned condo going up on 3 Aukland Rd across from kipling station? eg. builder, plans, pictures.....Tell me whatever you've heard....

It's 15 Viking Lane, and it s called Parc Nuvo. Go Tridel's website you will see it there

drewp, the question relates to a property facing directly on Aukland Road, north of the water pumping station. It is found west of the Nuvo / Essex development. It is occupied by a shabby-looking old building which may have been a car repair place once upon a time, and was a karate school or some such. It has been vacant for years. The company which owns it seems to have disappeared from public view. A condo of 56 units was proposed, but the whole idea seems to have died.

Thanks Walt. That's the building I'm talking about. So mysterious....

ooops....my bad. Sorry I didn't realize anything was expected to go there. I live in those buidlings and I have seen that sign there for more than 3 years. There is a phone number below the sign. I might call and see what it says. Do you think there is room to fit a condo development there, the land seems to be very small, unless they tare down the buildings that are on dundas

No worries. I live in one of the buildings there too, and i'm concerned it will block my view. Doesn't seem like such a large space for a condo. But if it's only 56 units it can't be that tall.

A handyman's dream!

Step right up folks, this place is a "handyman's dream", and ready for occupancy with just a little bit of elbow grease.

Act fast. A deal like this won't be around forever.

More pics, March 2009.

Wow. Always passed by the building and wondered what it looked like inside.

In terms of location for a condo it would be great. Anyone have the # on them? I feel like inquiring a bit more on the project (if it's still happening)

I'm sure Tridel covets this property - they could add a 6th tower!

I'm actually surprised they didn't buy the three low-rise buildings right on the south-east corner of Aukland and Dundas.

I'd love to see those buildings bought out and replaced with a low rise building with retail in the podium. A real estate agent has had a sign out in front of the building closest to Aukland for months but I don't think the whole block of buildings is for sale.

Anyways, I received a Public Hearing Notice for this site. Proposed: To construct a 13-storey condominium building with a total of 56 dwelling units. (this is the same as the previous proposal).

That a great mistake and will look total out of place. I would buy next door or else where before buying here regardless how close I would be to transit here.

I agreed that the whole block should be one condo on a 4-10 storey podium with retail on both streets.

Pre-Application Community Consultation Meeting

5243, 5245, 5247 Dundas Street West & 3 Aukland Road

When: Tuesday, November 19, 2013
Time: 6:30 PM-8:30PM
Where: Etobicoke Civic Centre, 399 The West Mall, Meeting Rooms 1, 2 and 3 (lower level), onsite parking

“A Zoing Bylaw Amendment application and corresponding Site Plan application for a proposed redevelopment will be filed with the city. The proposed redevelopment is a mixed-use commercial and residential building. The building would consist of a 2 storey podium along Dundas Street West with a 38 storey tower set back from the street. The proposal would have a mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom units.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to review proposed plans for the redevelopment of this area (SE corner of Dundas and Aukland)

In attendance: Councillor Peter Milczyn, project architect and planning consultant, City of Toronto Planning staff.

I sure hope this is not another Tridal building.

Not surprise to see this whole area to be come one development since the original was out of place. Having retail replacing retail on Dundas goes a long way for the area.
