Toronto SQ2 at Alexandra Park | 50.9m | 14s | Tridel | Teeple Architects

I'm going to post the other renderings on here so people don't make a judgement after seeing one rendering. Not defending the building, but just want to hear more opinions and hopefully this will encourage people to tear it apart or give it a high five (or whatever cool people do these days...)

The townhouses are great. The main building is... not terrible, but the massing is kind of awkward and lumpy. I will reserve final judgement until I can see the cladding IRL.

Townhouses look great, but for both Sq1 and 2, it looks like someone used the Greeble tool quite liberally.

Can't wait until the section along Dundas gets redeveloped. That's by far the most visibly jarring one.

SQ2 site grading is in progress in preparation for the start of construction activities but it looks like the developers weren't able to buy every house from the lot. haha.

I think they expected it - from the Alexandra Park UD guidelines:

The house on Augusta is depicted as featureless block that isn't park of the development site.

I think it's actually preferable that way- the neighbourhood won't be a monoculture. and any remaining properties will naturally refurbish/densify themselves when the time is right.
