Location
Mississauga, where cars rule city growth
This is the 2nd of 3 phases of Gramercy Park, as its stands from my point of view. The 3rd phase will be 3 Tippet Rd, that is currently own by the Toronto School Board.

The current Gramercy Park sales office is using the north end of the existing building and the south end is been rented out. I was expecting this from day one.

There is to be a divider driveway and centre area between the 2 projects with a 14 story building going north-south to line up with the current ones being built and a 2 story building at the south end, tiding the 2 buildings together along the lines like the north end. There will be a walkway from the building that will connect to the school, just east of the site.

Excellent news. I don't know why it's taken decades for development like this to spring up right next to a subway station.

Well I thought there was to be a office component???? But I do think that this will be great for the area. Station condo should help as well. If only a developer could manage to wrestler the parking lots away from the TTC. From dufferin to this condo could be completely transformed. This seems much more realistic then bombardier letting go of its land. I'm sure bombardier may be open for change. But someone call them in 30 years.

I think the office was scrapped they used to have a site marketing it but I can't find it anymore now.

October 6 Photos,
Looking at the plan again, there is 11 & 14 north-south, 2 story at the north end and a 7 story at the south end

Talk about another 'bait and switch' by a builder .... "we will build a residential condo with an adjacent office component" and once the residential is underway Malibu puts in the application to amend the approvals to ALL residential ... net effect, no employment/commercial is provided in the development, as in this case ... really don't like the way on how business is conducted

So I suppose the previously proposed "Allen Park Business Centre" office proposal on this site is history then? (website is http://www.allenpark.ca/):

Some images derived from the 3D fly through at http://www.allenpark.ca/photos.html showing the office proposal relative to Gramercy Park condos:

Yep, seems that way.

To be fair, seems like they tried ... that website has been up for over a year now.
If they got absolutely no interest at all maybe there was no hope.

Not sure, it's unfortunate though.

Why would business want to locate here anyway? The area is a wasteland. Clearly there wan't any interest for obvious reasons, so they might as well fill up that land with residential buildings instead of leaving it vacant in the hope that maybe some day, some businesses will want to set up here.

maybe because a subway and a highway are located in close proximity to it. the idea that this area is a wasteland is also a little nieve. this area will see significant change in the next twenty years.

Bringing this thread back from the dead ...

Looks like revised proposal for this site from P+S/IBI, now 2 towers @ 17s + 15s, still developed by Malibu, it is marketed as:
