How many stories is the new(ish) Can Life tower?

From my office, I count 15 storeys plus the "beret" (counting 1st floor as 2 storeys). Sweeney said the proposed building would be about 4m less than Canada Life.

The world headquarters for the council on green buildings up in Vaughan (the irony) is certified LEED Platinum.

Im guessing the CIBC will eventually become a taller building, so making that side look nice isnt too important seeing as it could eventually be covered.

This project looks nice. The interior space is laid out nicely too.

I guess I don't understand LEED since the only apparent elevation with lots of glass faces north... if this was being constructed in Panama it might make more sense to me. Sun rises in the east, sets in the west... seems like lost opportunitiies. Shrug.

It's an office tower version of Lumiere condo on Bay St! Not bad, but yeah I can see a facaderectomy performed on the old bank building.

Does anyone know the timeline in mind for building? Fall 2008 start for example?
