I've always hated the abundant streetcar wires in this intersection. :)

I'll have to see it again in person, but from the new pics, I'm still not crazy about the orange facade.
 
I love the way the corner has been "restored" from an urbanistic point-of-view.

Guessing that steel structure rising in the background is FCP? If correct, there really has been a seachange in downtown since 1975 ?? Without it, the pic could have been from 1935 judging by the look of the other buildings.

The photo is from 1914. It says in the post above
 
I love that picture. I grew up near Yonge and Finch. We had a Darrigo Bros there for years. I had no idea they started down here. Only learned that after I moved near King and Church.
 
On closer examination, the render of the Imperial Oil Building above is not what was built judging by the 3 storey building seen in the 1914 photo (post #982).
