Elite developments submitted a formal consultation with the city on October 25th regarding the site of 99 Creighton Road with the following description:
The former Blackader Retirement Residence was built c. 1895 and heavily modified in 1999-2000. It was listed on the Municipal Heritage Register in 2021 but non-designated. It was then recommended for removal from the MHR in March 2023 based on a cultural heritage impact assessment prepared by LHC. A counter-argument was prepared for the heritage case and can be read here. A demolition permit is currently under review.
