I don't know what those horizontal black panels are on the lower level, but I really like them. A bit of texture and the small pattern adds a unique aesthetic touch.

I am actually not loving the relation between the podium and the building at the corner of Dundas and Church.

Oh well, can't win them all. This has still come out great!
 
That corner building used to feel large for the intersection, but now it feels dwarfed

Though at the same time I do like the effect from that angle how the old building looks like first of three stepped cubes. I'd never noticed that before
